Recent years have seen the kilt become ever more popular and worn on a wider variety of occasions. It's no longer just seen at Highland Games, weddings or worn by pipe bands. Now you're as likely to see it at sporting events, in the High Street or while walking the hills.

Such diverse uses have led in recent years to the development of new styles and types of kilts here at Jean O'Rourke's.
Naturally we use cloths made from 100% Pure New Wool milled in Scotland.

Traditional Mediumweight Kilts
We produce a massive array of clan, district & Irish mediumweight tartans so there are well in excess of 200 to choose from. Also over 400 lesser known and long forgotten tartans in our Old & Rare range. Any yardage between four and ten is acceptable.

Traditional Heavyweight Kilts
Available in 55 different popular clan & district tartans. Choose any yardage between six and ten.

Traditional Dark Island Kilts
Our Dark Island cloths are now available in Black and Navy. These cloths are woven on jacquard looms and piece dyed to give a stylish tone on tone effect for sharp looking kilts with a difference. Choose any yardage from four to ten.

Casual Kilts
Available in any cloth from Mediumweight Clan, District & Irish, Dark Island or Emblem ranges. These kilts are the ideal solution for those working to a budget or wanting a less expensive kilt for casual or outdoor use. Sizes up to a 54" waist and 60"hip can be accepted.
